They provide maximum security with a built in self-locking mechanism that can't be broken or cut off like a standard hitch pin, because this locking hitch pin is built right into your hitch.
These hitch ball mounts are available in your choice of adjustable or fixed styles, and each Diversi-Tech Hitch has a set of spring loaded anti-rattle balls to keep the hitch from rattling when there's no trailer attached, also cutting down on road noise and wear.
The self-locking mechanism is O-ring sealed to keep dirt and water out and keep the lube in. Features include a barrel type lock (one of the most difficult locks to pick). Every Diversi-Tech Dual Ball Adjustable Hitch comes with four keys, and every non adjustable aluminum hitch comes with two keys. The pins that take the place of the hitch pin are super hardened stainless steel, five times as hard as a regular hitch pin. The adjustable billet aluminum hitch has the same O-ring sealed stainless pin to lock the adjustable portion in place and uses the same key.
The ball mount provides anti-rattle tension and is constructed of polished billet aluminum. Spring-loaded, stainless-steel anti-rattle balls on the ball mount shank help eliminate noise and reduce wear and tear inside the trailer hitch receiver tube. It carries a heavy-duty gross trailer weight capacity of 10,000 lbs. and a tongue weight of 1,500 lbs. Featuring up to a 9" rise or 8" drop, it houses a chrome-plated platform with both 2" and 2-5/16" diameter hitch balls.
