The Gate Keeper is a simple and effective device which makes sure your tailgate stays with your truck. Your tailgate is designed to easily lift off the truck without tools. Unfortunately, this makes tailgate theft easy, and since a new tailgate can cost as much as $1,000 including painting, they are an attractive target for thieves.
Without the Gate Keeper™ thieves can easily lift your tailgate off your truck. With the Gate Keeper, your tailgate is always protected. Gate Keeper bolts onto your truck and covers the slot on the tailgate pivot, making removal without tools very difficult. Once the Gate Keeper™ is installed, you can still remove the tailgate if needed, but you must use the installation/removal tool supplied with the kit. Gate Keeper bolts onto your truck using existing mounting holes, and install in about 5 minutes.
